2010 Port Alberni Festival of Trees

Every year, the Festival of Trees transforms hotel lobbies in three BC communities - Vancouver, Victoria and Port Alberni - into lush forests of beautifully decorated trees to raise funds for BC Children's Hospital.  As sponsors of this event, local businesses, organizations and individuals have the honour of decorating the trees in a unique, exciting and always beautiful fashion.  The trees are displayed in these hotel lobbies over the holiday season, beginning in late November with kick-off decorating events through to early January.  Last year's event raised $16,672!

The Festival of Trees is open to the public, who are encouraged to cast a ballot for their favourite tree.  Thousands of Festival visitors cast a vote each year and with each vote they are entered into a draw for the People's Choice Award Citizen Prize.  Now in its second year, the Port Alberni Festival of Trees will feature 25 trees.
