Virgin Radio Cares for Kids Radiothon

April 29, 2010

On Thursday, April 29, Virgin Radio Vancouver, and stations across Canada, broadcast a live Radiothon, Astral Media National Day of Caring for Kids Radiothon, and raised a grand total of over $7 million for health care. Of that total, $118,143 was raised right here in BC in support of BC Children's Hospital.

Over 50 of Astral Media’s radio stations in 30 cities across Canada took part in the Astral Media National Day of Caring for Kids Radiothon. BC Children’s was just one of 20 children's hospitals and health care facilities across the country that benefited from this event.

A warm thanks to all participants, donors, and volunteers who made this year’s Virgin Radiothon a smashing success. Funds raised from this one day event will go toward the urgent needs of Children's Hospital.

You can still support the Virgin Radiothon. Donate today.

Past Successes

Virgin Radio Vancouver is proud to announce $83,766 raised in support of BC Children's Hospital

On April 30, Virgin Radio Vancouver and their dedicated listeners gave their hearts and donations to the children of BC, raising $83,766 for BC Children's Hospital through the one day Radiothon.

During the broadcast, Foresters sponsored two Power Hours, encouraging listeners to join the sunshine club by offering $2,500 per Power Hour if we reached our Sunshine Club membership goal. The listeners came through in a big way, and Foresters was pleased to be able to donate $5,000 to the Hospital.
