“Jeans Day is a great way for everyone across the province to support BC Children’s Hospital,” said Henrik Sedin, captain for the Vancouver Canucks. “Participating in the Jeans Day campaign is one of the ways we can help support the exceptional medical care BC Children’s Hospital provides for the children and families of this province, including my own.”

“We’re grateful to have the support of these incredible athletes and their families,” said Teri Nicholas, president and CEO of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“Jeans Day is an easy way to make a big difference in the lives of BC’s kids, and we hope our Jeans Day 2018 ambassadors will inspire everyone to buy a button and Jean Up on May 3.”

Jeans Day buttons can be purchased for $5, and lapel pins for $20 at an official retailer – Save-On-Foods, PriceSmart Foods, Urban Fare, London Drugs, Thrifty Foods and Country Grocer on Vancouver Island. To participate, individuals, corporations and schools can also register to be a champion online at www.jeansday.ca.

“I’m proud to serve as a Jeans Day ambassador, and Jean Up for BC’s kids on May 3,” said Marcel de Jong, defender for Vancouver Whitecaps FC. “We want to encourage everyone across the province – corporations, schools, families – to have fun and raise funds for BC Children’s Hospital.”

On May 3, 2018, individuals, families, corporations, and schools across BC and the Yukon are encouraged to wear their Jeans Day button along with their “Canadian Tuxedo”, in support of Jeans Day. The annual public Jeans Day BBQ will be held on May 3 at the Vancouver Art Gallery on Robson Street in Vancouver from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Celebrity athletes, professional team mascots, and a street team will provide entertainment for all age groups.
